Ise Kabuse Mecha
Japanese Green Tea from Ise, Mie prefecture.
Mecha is derived from a collection of leaf buds and tips of the early crops. Mecha is harvested in spring and renowned for its depth of flavor, considerable astringency and bitter green aftertaste.
Revitalizing, refreshing tea well fit to Japanese dishes.
How to make:
Tealeaves: 5 g / 2 teaspoon
Water: 150 ml, 75 °C
Steeping time: 1 min.
Tealeaves can be steeped twice.
Good to know:
- Make your tea with soft water!
- After the first steeping, use warmer water
- The hotter water, the more bitter tea
- The longer steeping time, the more concentrated flavor of tea
- The more water, the milder tea
